CETL1001 – Introduction to Teaching and Learning in Higher Education

Educators in Higher Education (HE) in addition to being qualified in their respective disciplines, are expected to be proficient in the art and science of teaching and learning. CETL1001 – Introduction to Teaching and Learning in Higher Education was therefore, developed to equip HE educators who do not possess formal teacher training with foundational practice in teaching and learning. This online course is an introduction to contemporary and best-practice methods of teaching and learning both in the face-to-face and online environment. While new or non-trained educators explore strategies for developing and facilitating effective learning experiences, skilled instructors can seize the opportunity to refine and boost their practice. Participants will immerse themselves in this fully online course and interact with the content on their own time, at their own pace.
