Laugh Out Loud
Welcome to our Laugh Out Loud—a vibrant event where educators come together to connect, collaborate, and yes, even Laugh Out Loud!
Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of comedy, camaraderie, games and artistic expression as we prioritize your mental and physical wellness. This event combines the healing power of humor with the liberating world of Arts. Engage in hilarious spoken word performances, showcase your wit in the extempore competition, or indulge in musical parodies and other interactive games that promise endless smiles!
 ALL Staff from ALL Departments/Faculties may participate as individuals or teams in the following activities:
- Spoken Word: This category encompasses poems, excerpts that may be sampled or original works of art, which may be delivered verbally on stage (with or without a prompt). Participants in this category are required to deliver a verbal discourse on the stage on a topic of their choice for a duration of 2 – 3 minutes.
- Extempore: Participants in this category are required to deliver an extempore piece on stage. This may be done as a solo or group of 3 – 5 persons, for a duration of 3-4 minutes.
- Musical Parody: Participants in this category are required to perform a popular song using their own (re-written) lyrics for a duration of 3 – 4 minutes. This may be done as a solo or group/team of 3 – 5 persons.Â
Prizes will be awarded to the winners in each of the aforementioned categories. Additionally, there will be specialty prizes for winners/participants in various games, team spirit and representation.
Should you and your team like to participate in any of the categories we are kindly asking that you register via the participant link by Wednesday 20th November, 2024.
