Mr. Marc Garcia

Marc embarked on his journey at The UWI by supporting the administration of paper-based end of course evaluations. Over time, he played a pivotal role in transitioning UWI to a sophisticated online system for student feedback. His expertise extends to comprehensive training for faculty and students, empowering them to interpret results effectively. Recently, Marc implemented a standardized process for gathering student feedback at the STA campus.

Currently, Marc focuses his passion and expertise on a data-driven approach at The UWI, aiming to advance teaching and learning methodologies to enhance the student experience and elevate the university’s competitive standing. Entrusted with reshaping student evaluation into a developmental tool, he explores reasons behind high student failure rates, the impact of innovative teaching strategies, and how learning platforms influence the overall learning experience. Beyond his core responsibilities, Marc leads projects at the CETLinX Studio, a cutting-edge facility empowering faculty to create high-quality instructional content. As the creator and host of the “PodClass” podcast, he fosters open discussions on pedagogy, best practices, and research in Higher Education, while also contributing to the enrichment of the CETL’s YouTube Channel and X feed with valuable resources.
