BBF3 Conference breaks new ground

The 3rd Biennial International Conference on Business, Banking & Finance (BBF3) was held from Wednesday 27th to Friday 29th May, 2009, and was hosted by The University of the West Indies (UWI) Caribbean Centre for Money and Finance (CCMF), the Department of Management Studies and the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES). This major financial conference featured presentations from Mr. Patrick Manning, former Prime Minister of Trinidad & Tobago; Senator Mariano Browne, Trinidad and Tobago Finance Minister; Ms. Angella Persad, President of the T&T Chamber of Industry and Commerce; Mr. Larry Howai, CEO First Citizens Bank; Ram Ramesh, Managing Director, CMMB; Ms. Catherine Kumar, Managing Director, RBTT; Mr. Ron Allenby, Assistant Director Treasury Auctions and Settlement Systems, Bank of Canada; and Dr. Kenny Anthony, Former Prime Minister of St. Lucia.

BBF3 is widely regarded as a forum for the exchange of ideas on critical business, banking and financial issues facing emerging economies in the context of a global financial and economic meltdown of unprecedented proportions.
