Dr. Jean Antoine is a Senior Lecturer in Literatures in English at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine. She is a former Newman Scholar  (University College Dublin) and is editor (with Paula Quigley) of the seminal work The Mon-tage Principle: Eisenstein in New Cul-tural and Critical Contexts and also edited Where is Here: Re mapping the Caribbean (Journal of West Indian Literature Vol. 18 No. 2 April 2010). She has written many essays on the interface between film and literature and on Caribbean writing. She is also a Beckett scholar as well as being is a prolific arts reviewer and a visual artist who has exhibited paintings in Trinidad and Ireland and has completed two documentaries.
