About Us
The University of the West Indies Department of Economics’ Annual Conference on the Economy (COTE 2013) is scheduled for October 10th -11th 2013, Learning Resource Centre (LRC), UWI St. Augustine. COTE is an annual landmark event of the Department at which findings from quality research and other studies are presented to inform our stakeholders on economic and social policy. The conference highlights what we in the Department see as the key economic issues facing Trinidad & Tobago in particular and the wider Caribbean region by extension, in light of the present global environment.
In keeping with the tradition of COTE, this year’s conference honours Dr. Ralph Henry, former Head of Department of Economics. The theme of this year's Conference on the Economy is “Managing for Developmentin Caribbean Economies: Addressing the Challenges of Poverty and Inequality”.
