CAPE ESSAY COMPETITION

(Open to ALL CAPE Students)

 

Topic: “Do you agree that the increased access to education has led to a higher standard of human capital in Trinidad and Tobago? Discuss.”

 

Prizes:

First Prize $2000.00 to the individual student and COTE Challenge Trophy to the winning School
Second Prize: $1500.00 to the individual student
Third Prize: $1000.00 to the individual student

  • Winners will be notified via Phone and Email by Friday 4th October 2013
  • The winners would be presented their prizes at the conference.
  • Top three (3) Essays to be placed in Economics Society of UWI Newsletter

How to Enter:

  • Compose Essay
  • Place school stamp on copy of essay
  • Scan and Email copy of essay to uwi.cote@gmail.com by Tuesday October 1st 5:00pm

Additional Information:

  • 1000-1200 words, type written, Times New Roman Font 12, 1.5 line spacing, Portable
  • Document Format (PDF)
  • Use of statistics and data from valid sources i.e. NO Wikipedia etc
  • Use of analytical skills required
  • Plagiarism will NOT be tolerated
  • References and Bibliography to be included
  • Cover Page should include:
    • Student’s Name
    • School
    • Class
    • Teacher’s Name
    • School’s Email Address and Telephone Number
