Dr. Pauline Whiteman is a temporary Full-Time Lecturer and facilitates several post graduate courses including EDGC 6214, EDGC, 6211, EDTV 6005, EDTV 5000, EDRS 5450 and EDTP 5002 at The UWI, St. Augustine.  Dr.  Whiteman also serves as the Coordinator of the Master of Arts (M.A) Leadership in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Workforce Development (WFD) Programme (MA TVET).

Dr. Whiteman holds a PhD in Education from the School of Education, the MPhil Agricultural Extension – Nutrition Education and a BSc Human Ecology (1st Class Honours) from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.  She also obtained qualifications from programmes pursued at the John. S. Donaldson Technical Institute (National Technician’s Diploma, Craftsmen’s Diploma, Technical Teacher’s Diploma).  Dr. Whiteman was awarded a National Scholarship for distinction in TVET teacher training.

Dr. Whiteman has also pursued courses at the International Training Centre, Turin, Italy (Training Policies and Management of Training Systems) and the University of Wisconsin, Madison (Curriculum Development in TVET). 

Dr. Pauline Whiteman retired as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Training Agency, Trinidad and Tobago (NTATT) in 2021. Dr. Whiteman was instrumental in implementing the Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) in secondary schools, institutions, enterprises and community-based programmes in Trinidad and Tobago.  Prior to employment at the NTATT, she taught various Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) subjects, inclusive of home economics at both the secondary and tertiary levels for twenty-four (24) years.

Dr. Whiteman serves as Assistant Chief Examiner (CAPE Food and Nutrition) with the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC).
