Dr. Natalie Suepaul has been an educator for the past 32 years. She taught at the primary school level for 23 years, spending most of those years in the infant department. During 1995-1997 she completed her teacher training at Valsayn Teachers’ College with a specialization in Agricultural Science. Dr. Suepaul then pursued various education degrees at The School of Education at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus. In 2006-2009, Dr. Suepaul pursued her Bachelor of Education Degree (Early Childhood Care and Education). Later in 2011-2013, Dr. Suepaul completed her Master of Education Degree (Curriculum Studies). She then embarked on her PhD journey where she continued to focus on early childhood, curriculum implementation, and ICT integration in the classroom. She has engaged in many research projects and has had the opportunity to work in the field of teacher education as a part time lecturer at The UWI and COSTAATT. Presently, Dr. Suepaul is a full-time lecturer at the School of Education where she assists in over-seeing the Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education. She also lectures on the B.Ed. and M.Ed. Programme at the University. Dr. Suepaul also assists at The UWI Family and Development and Children’s Research Centre as the teaching and learning lead.
