Small Animal Hospital at the UWI SVM
The Small Animal Hospital at The University of the West Indies (UWI), School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM) provides numerous high-quality services to small animal pet owners. We are well staffed with many experienced experts in their respective fields of Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. The Small Animal Hospital at UWI SVM in associated with the North-Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA), work together to provide superior services not offered any where else in the country at a discounted rate.
We boast a state-of-the-art Diagnostic Imagining facility well equipped to provide high quality digital radiographs, ultrasounds and endoscopic services which are interpreted by highly skilled and experienced personal. We also possess a highly trained and specialized surgical team who are well equipped and experienced in performing many technically challenging and often life saving surgical procedures.
Our medical team consist of many veterans in the field of Small Animal Medicine who are trained and competent in providing the best possible care for your pets. We are the only Small Animal Hospital on the island that provides dedicated ophthalmological and oncological services delivered by experts in their field.
As a teaching hospital we are dedicated to the training of future veterinarians and as such, most of our services are provided at a reduced cost. Students have the opportunity to benefit from hands on learning under the supervision of a qualified veterinarian. The Small Animal Hospital also benefits from the support of the many other diagnostic laboratories operating under the UWI SVM umbrella.
Regular hours of operation (by appointment): Monday to Friday, 8:00am-3:00pm
Extended hours of operation (by appointment): Wednesday 4:00pm-7:00pm
Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm
