Biography - Ann Diaz
Mrs. Ann Diaz, Ph.D. (cand) Nova Southeastern University, Florida, MSW, BSc., the University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago, is the Coordinator of the Mediation Unit at the University of the West Indies (UWI). She was the Assistant Executive Director of the Community Mediation Division of the then Ministry of Social Development in Trinidad and Tobago until her resignation in 2011. Mrs. Diaz is a certified mediator, facilitator/trainer who has conducted mediation training geared toward certification, for UWI’s Masters Programme in Trinidad and Tobago, for the Dispute Resolution Centre (DRC) and for the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and territories such as St Lucia, Antigua, Dominica, St Vincent, British Virgin Islands, Grenada, Anguilla and St Kitts She also conducted mediation training in Barbados geared toward Community Mediation and also Court Connected Mediation. To date Mrs. Diaz has trained in excess of 5,000 participants in varied workshops including mediation, emotional intelligence, leadership training and conflict resolution etc. in addition to Train the Trainer programmes.
