Dr. Kendra-Ann Pitt is a Lecturer in the Social Work Unit at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. She holds an MSW and a PhD in Education and Women and Gender Studies. Her research and teaching mobilize critical social work, transnational feminist, critical disability and decolonial frameworks. She has worked as a domestic violence advocate and counsellor and has been involved in anti-violence work in the Caribbean, Canada, and the UK. Her current research explores gender-based violence, disability, equity and social care praxis in the postcolonial Caribbean
