Mr. Suraj Sakal

Suraj Sakal is Judicial Counsel at the Caribbean Court of Justice and also serves as Executive Manager & Legal Officer of the Caribbean Association of Judicial Officers. He holds a Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School and a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, where he was Valedictorian of the Class of 2020.He has co-authored scholarly publications on constitutional reform, judicial integrity, and gender-based access to justice and assisted in numerous regional publications of the CCJ. He has also supported regional training, judicial conferences, and governance initiatives. He is additionally certified in Corporate Governance, Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism, and Fintech.
