Programme Rationale
The Faculty of Law spent 2 years designing this programme. The Pre-Law Programme is designed to allow students to be admitted to the Bachelors of Law (LLB) Programme, who might otherwise not be admitted under the existing admissions criteria. The matriculation standard for entry into the Faculty of Law’s LLB Degree programme is very high and competitive. With the introduction of the Pre-Law Programme, applicants will be required to obtain a GPA of 3.70 to gain admission into the LLB degree programme.
The programme also addresses the needs of other persons engaged in occupations which require some knowledge of the law, such as clerks, paralegals, administrators, managers, the police and other public officers.
