Overview: Immigration Law, Employment Law and Human Rights.
Bio: I currently hold the position of Senior Legal Officer at the Ministry of Sport and Community Development and I also serve as a Tutor for Equitable Remedies for the Undergraduate LLB program.
My areas of practice are Civil Litigation, Employment Law and Corporate Law. My academic qualifications spans a Bachelor of Arts in French and Spanish from the University of the West Indies, a Bachelor of Laws, Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Manchester Metropolitan University, and an International Masters in Business Administration from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business. I am currently doing my PHD in Law on Human Rights and Migration with particular emphasis on Trinidad and Tobago.
I previously served on the panel of Attorneys for the Womens Institute of Alternative Development, as it relates to their Migrant program. I provided legal services to Spanish speaking Migrants during this tenure. I was also formerly engaged as a Consultant with the Pan American Development Foundation on matters related to local Legislative Compliance. My interest in Human Rights and Migrants peaked not only from serving these two Entities but also when I assisted the International Organization for Migration with their Displacement Tracking Matrix gathering, particularly geared towards Venezuelan Migrants.
