DCFA celebrates Caribbean Creative Entrepreneurship

The Carnival Studies Unit, Department of Creative and Festival Arts (DCFA) dedicates this month to Caribbean Creative Entrepreneurship, by hosting guest lectures by leading regional entrepreneurs each week. The event began with a lecture by Marie Kellier, President of MARIKEL International and Founder and Artistic Director of CARICABELA Los Angeles Carnival, on Thursday 10th March, 2011. Ms. Kellier discussed the topic, “Crafting a Winning Video Sample for Project Proposals.”  

Other guest speakers include Erica Ashton, who will discuss “Maintaining a Career in the Creative Industries,” on Thursday 17th March, and Chris Harper, who will lecture on “Strategy, Entrepreneurship and the Cultural Industries,” on Thursday 24th March.
