Youth have often been termed the future of a nation and the key to a society’s development. It is therefore necessary to discuss the place of youth in contemporary society, the challenges faced and possible solutions.
The Conference on Parenting and Counselling: A Sociological and Diagnostic Evaluation of Youth in the Caribbean, hosted by the Sociology Unit, Department of Behavioural Sciences, from June 27-28, 9am-5pm, seeks to address issues facing youth, both locally and in the region. It will provide a space within which issues, trends, challenges and solutions can be discussed and evaluated.
Academicians, researchers, graduate students, stakeholders, youths, NGOs and other interested parties are invited to participate by exchanging and sharing their experiences, ideas, and research findings. At the end of the conference, papers will be shortlisted for publication.
