The Faculty of Law hosts their 2nd Biennial Oil and Gas Law Conference which is in line with the strategic plan and mission of The UWI to advance education and create knowledge in order to support the development of the Caribbean region and beyond.

This year's conference will address the current legal challenges in the Energy Sector in light of the decline in oil prices and how this scenario affects oil exploration agreements as well as energy exploration and production.

The Conference takes place from 8am to 4pm (both days). The themes for the 2 days are: Exploring the legal framework for Oil and Gas Law and The Trinidad Experience: Setting the Context and Lessons Learnt respectively. 

This conference is targeted towards: Oil companies and other businesses working in the Energy Industry, Key government stakeholders, Local, regional and international attorneys and paralegals and Academics and Law Students (UWI and HWLS).
