Facilitation: Tools and Practices for Social Justice

This capacity-building workshop with Ms Nadine Agard Lewis designed to equip participants with core facilitation skills for working with diverse audiences.

The course runs from February 24 – March 19, 2022 Thursdays 2:30 - 5:00 PM & Saturdays 11 AM – 1:30 PM

  • LEARN how facilitation differs from teaching, lecturing, moderating or preaching.
  • EXPLORE elements of safe space building for workshops and interactive learning sessions.
  • PROMOTE the use of experiential learning techniques through a psycho-educational model - preparing presentations, content, and activities.
  • RECONCILE facilitation tools with topics.
  • UNDERSTAND online and virtual tools.
  • GAIN effective co-facilitation skills, understand challenges and debriefing for evaluation.

The course costs TT$1,500 or US$250 / UWI Students TT$750
