The UWI St. Augustine Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship invites interested persons to register to attend the Caribbean Urban Forum (CUF) 2023, an output of the project “HIT RESET Caribbean”. The 12th Forum (CUF2023) will be held from the May 31 – June 2 in Suriname.

In addition to being an output of the project “HIT RESET Caribbean”, this forum is the major annual regional event on urban planning, development, and land management. It will be the main opportunity for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to share experience and knowledge across the Caribbean.

As such, CUF is inviting practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to make submissions for this year's Forum. There is no restriction on the academic or professional background of authors so long as their topic complements the CUF 2022 theme: Improving Resilience and Sustainability through Innovation.

Some areas to be addressed are:

• (1) Community Health and Wellness
• (2) Climate Change adaption and mitigation 
• (3) Waste management
• (4) Agricultural/ food security and sovereignty
• (5) Sustainable tourism 
• (6) Managing marine resources and assets
• (7) Investing in renewable energy
• (8) Managing our rivers, guts, gullies, and ponds
• (9) Leadership, management, and governance systems
• (10) Professional planning practice, education, and training in the Caribbean

Full (Regular): US$ 375

One-day: US$ 150

Student Registration

• Regular: US$ 250
• One-day: US$ 100
• Presenters: US$ 275

The Registration Process and Payment procedure CUF 2023 Registration process

• 1. Participants can register for CUF 2023 via the following google form link: https://forms.gle/CYVjUgynQZzNDkSn7
• 2. For logistical reasons each participant should be registered separately.
• 3. At the end of the registration process, participants are asked to upload the payment receipt. Make sure that the name of the participant for who was paid is clearly stated in the receipt. If the payment is not completed yet, please email the receipt to Olivia.Ramkissoon@sta.uwi.edu
• 4. In case the transfer was done for a group of participants, please email us a list of names of the participants together with the receipts.
• 5. The early birth fee is only available if registration and payment has been done at the latest on 15 April 2023. If the registration full payment has not been received by the early bird registration deadline, the next category of registration fee will be applicable..
• 6. Once the Registration Form has been submitted, an automatic generated copy will be sent to your mailbox
