The Institute for Gender and Development Studies (IGDS) invites all interested persons to register for thier upcoming short course entitled Safe Spaces for Children: Understanding and Creating a Safe Space in the context of Child Sexual Abuse. This course will be conducted from Tuesday, April 23 to Friday, April 26 and will be facilitated by Dr Keisha V. Thompson.

Structure: 4 modules over 4 days
Delivery: Face-to-face Contact: 20 hours
Schedule: Tues, Wed, Thurs and Fri | 9am–2pm
Deadline to register: 12 April, 2024
General Cost: TT$3,500 | US$520
Cost for Students/Activists/Civil Society Organizers: TT$2,500 | US$370
Payment Deadline: 17 April, 2024
Scholarships & Bursaries
- Graduate students and civil society activists should inquire on the availability of scholarships and bursaries.
- Scholarships will be awarded based on social activism and/or academic merit.
- Bursaries will be awarded based on financial need.
- Discounts apply for early registration

Payments can be made in-person at the following locations:
- The UWI Bursary, Main Admin Building, St Augustine Campus | 8:30 a.m. – 12 noon or 1:00–3:00 p.m.

- IGDS Office, Chemistry Building 2, UWI, St Augustine Campus | 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
