Applications for The Principal’s Research Awards 2024 are now open.

The awards for this year are:

Campus Level Awards

·      Principal’s Award for Best Researcher

·      Principal’s Award for Most Impactful Community Research

·      Best Team Research

·      Most Outstanding Regional/International Research Project

·      Most Productive Research Department Award

·      Most Productive Research Institute, Centre or Unit Award

·      Principal’s Special Innovation Award

·      Most Promising Early Career Professional Award

·      Most Outstanding Graduate Researcher Award & Mentorship Award

Faculty Level Awards

·      Most Outstanding Faculty Researcher

·      Most Outstanding Researcher of the Centre/Institute/Unit

Open Award

Inspired by the recent events in the region due to earthquake and hurricane and to encourage the research culture and innovation among all people beyond the conventional academics to find solutions in this critical area, the call for Principal’s Research Award in the following category i.e. HEAR AWARD will be open to ALL staff, students of The UWI as well as the public, including other tertiary institutions, and secondary school teachers and students.   

·      Hurricane and Earthquake Alleviation Research (HEAR) Award

The deadline for the submission of applications is 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 06, 2024.
