If you will be driving to campus, please be advised that your vehicle must have a new vehicle permit for the 2025/2026 academic year. The Student Vehicle Permit application portal is open.

From September 8, 2025, students without a valid vehicle permit will not be able to access the campus via the North and South gates and will be redirected to the Visitor's Entrance, opposite Freedom Hall.

Here is what you need to know:

- You can apply for your vehicle permit via the online portal. Click here to access the application portal, and be sure to click on the STUDENTS tab

- You must have a valid student ID card in order to complete this application process, as you will be required to enter your Smart Card ID number, which is the 12-digit number on the front of the ID card. (Acquiring your UWI Student ID is one of the mandatory course registration steps. Click here to read more on how to apply for and collect your student ID card) 

- Once you have successfully submitted your vehicle permit application, you can collect your permit on the same day.

- Student vehicle permits can be collected upstairs at the Student Activity Centre (SAC), close to the pool tables, Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

- When collecting your permit, be sure to have your student ID card with you.

- If you experience any difficulties while completing the online application form or have any questions or concerns, assistance can be sought at the permit collection centre.

You are encouraged to submit your vehicle permit application at your earliest convenience to ensure that it is processed in a timely manner.
