The Institute for Gender and Development Studies (IGDS) invites submissions for a special issue of the Caribbean Review of Gender Studies (CRGS) on:
Global Governance, Gender and 21st Century Human (In)Securities in the Caribbean and Beyond
The special issue seeks contributions that offer alternative analyses of world politics and global governance, moving beyond narrow, hierarchical and state-centred approaches to consider the increasingly complex networks of state and non-state actors shaping decision-making.
Contributors are particularly encouraged to examine the shifting role of the State, the gendered impacts of these changes, and how structures of gender and development are being affected. Submissions may also explore the experiences of micro, small and large states; transnational policy networks; changing relations of power and identity; and the extent to which less powerful territories are meaningfully included in global governance and decision-making.
