Online course registration is open until Friday, September 18. As you complete the 7-step online registration process, there are two steps that require particular attention:
Step 5: Enrol in FEEPAY to obtain financial clearance Step 7: Maintain your financial clearance
Students who do not do the needful to obtain and maintain financial clearance will have an AR Hold placed on their student account.
Here is what that means and what you need to do to avoid it.
What is an AR Hold?
An Accounts Receivable Hold, or AR Hold, is placed on a student's account when money is owed to the campus for the non-payment of fees or when the proof of payment and other registration documents are not submitted as required.
An AR Hold restricts access to:
· Registration for current or future semesters
· myeLearning to write or submit assessments online, or view posted course content
· Your final examination venue and access to write in-person final examinations
· Your examination results
· Other services e.g. health services, the Alma Jordan Library etc.
An AR hold will remain on your student account until outstanding balances are cleared in full and/or registration documents submitted.
What is FEEPAY?
· FEEPAY is a payment plan that allows students to get immediate financial clearance
· All students must enrol in FEEPAY, even if you plan to pay all your fees upfront
· There is a TT$35 non-refundable per semester enrolment fee when enrolling in FEEPAY
· With FEEPAY, you can still make your tuition and fee payments using any of the usual payment methods. Click here to access the list of payment methods
· Click here for a step-by-step FEEPAY tutorial and get any other questions answered with our FEEPAY FAQ's
What is Financial Clearance?
- Financial clearance is when a student has made all payments owed to the institution and has submitted all the relevant registration documents
- If a student makes the necessary payments, but does not submit the relevant documents, their account may not be updated resulting in failure to maintain financial clearance
- Click here for the list of registration documents that need to be submitted
- The relevant documents are to only be submitted via the eCourier platform, which can be accessed by clicking here (in the 'From' field only your UWI student email address is to be added)
- Click here to read more information on how these documents are to be signed and saved
