ALL Students to check the status of their override application online in banner sas
When a Course Criteria is NOT satisfied, a message is displayed when the student attempts to register for course. Course Criteria include the Departmental and Faculty criteria.
Faculty Overrides are permissions granted via Banner SAS by a faculty to students with a valid reason to register for a course where the student encountered a registration add error preventing online registration. Overrides are discretionary permissions and not a right to which students are entitled. Where granted, an override automatically registers a student for the course.
Students are permitted to submit an electronic override request for the following Registration Add Errors:

A student can receive one or more of these seven (7) error messages when registering for a class Any of the above-mentioned error messages received in conjunction with one or more of the following error messages will prevent the student from submitting an electronic override request: Campus, Class, College, Duplicates, Pre-Requisites & Test Score, and Special Approval. See next table for description of these error messages. |
Pre-requisite overrides are not granted except for some FOUN and LING courses of the Facultyof Humanities and Education
Students are prevented from submitting an electronic override request for the following Registration Add Error messages:

**PREQ and TEST SCORE-ERROR overrides requests are only permitted for the following Faculty of Humanities & Education FOUN and LING courses:

Step 1 Proceed to register for your course(s).
On receipt of a Registration Add Error message, review the Override Permitted column on your screen. If Override Permitted column is “Yes”, then click the Request Override button, if No, then you will not be able to submit a request for an override for the course.
Step 2 The Dean/Head of Department or person assigned to perform overrides for the Faculty offering the course will review and either approve or deny your request.
Step 3 If your request is approved, you will automatically be registered for the course otherwise, it means that your request was denied. You can view the status of your override request submission online via Banner SAS (see instruction provide below).
NOTE: It is the student’s responsibility to check the status of his/her override request submission.
Electronic override requests submission for Semester II, 2009/2010 closes at 4:00pm on Tuesday, 9th February 2009.
