AgriNeTT Applications are now available on the Google App Store! To manage your finances and monitor your production when it comes to crops, check out AgriExpense. The AgriMaps Application can be used to view soil and land information and also to check the suitability of land with regards to the planting of specific crops. To monitor the daily prices of crops, check out the AgriPrice application. The AgriNeTT team are also working on AgriDiagnose, an application to assist in the diagnosis of crop disease.

As part of the AgriNeTT project, the open data platforms of Data.tt and Maps.tt. have been created. Check them out to see what data is available for usage.

We're pleased to announce that AgriNeTT has won the 2016 UWI NGC Research Award for Best Research Team – Encouraging Multi-disciplinary Research. This award is given to the research team which, in addition to demonstrating coherence and outstanding research quality as a team over the last three (3) years, has integrated a multi-disciplinary approach in project methodology and team composition. We would like to thank the University of the West Indies for their recognition and support!

AgriNeTT has been recognized by the 2016 World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) for its contribution to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. AgriNeTT is among five projects from around the world, selected in the e-Agriculture category linked to Goal 2: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture. The WSIS Forum 2016 took place from May 2-6, 2016 in Geneva, Switzerland. Dr. Bernard attended the Forum and gave a presentation entitled ‘AgriNeTT – Empowering Farmers, Involving Youth’. The trip was sponsored by Trinidad and Tobago Network Information Centre (TTNIC), the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Trinidad and Tobago, and Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI).

Upcoming Events


The AgriNeTT team are proud to announce partnership work with the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI) on work on the Caribbean Small Ruminants Project and the Coconut Industry Development Project. The Caribbean Small Ruminants project aims at helping farmers in the sheep and goat industry to increase productivity through the use of best practice husbandry and enterprise management techniques. An early result of this work is the Caribbean Small Ruminants Project E-Learning Platform. The Coconut Industry Development Project is a project aimed at promoting the sharing of relevant information to all the Caribbean-based Coconut stakeholders along the coconut value chain. This project will feature the development of ICT systems for the coconut industry in the Caribbean.
