Principal’s Research Awards and Festival
The Principal’s Research Awards and Research Festival 2025 is a blend of multiple events meant to exhibit outstanding research happening at the UWI and align it with the needs of policymakers and public and private industries. On its 65 anniversary, eight diverse faculties of the St Augustine Campus have embarked to showcase its exciting research as “one mega show” to its internal and external stakeholders connecting diverse disciplinary research that addresses present challenges to build sustainable future with the theme ‘Research Innovation for Present and Future’. The three-day event will provide a platform for researchers, students, policymakers, development agencies and industry leaders to engage in meaningful discussions about research and development at the UWI, St. Augustine, and its alignment with the National, Regional and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Research Festival is open to the public to participate and learn more about ongoing research activities of the St. Augustine campus.
This event will include:
- Presentation of the Principal’s Research Awards
- Research Festival
- Booth exhibitions
- Oral and poster presentations under eight thematic areas
- Engaging panel discussions
- Workshops led by public and private sector partners, highlighting research applications and innovation opportunities.
