Principal’s Research Awards Conference

The Principal’s Research Awards Conference scheduled for November 15, 2024, aims to showcase the groundbreaking research of our award-winning academics, by providing a unique platform for Principal’s Research Awardees to present their innovative research, highlighting the impactful work being undertaken across various disciplines.

A key feature of the conference will be the unveiling of the Process Map for developing the Campus Research Agenda for the next 5 years (2025-2030), which aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Vision 2030. This roadmap, developed in collaboration with the faculties and our public and private partners, is instrumental in guiding the St. Augustine Campus in shaping future research priorities. It will help internal and external stakeholders prioritize key research areas, facilitating strategic partnerships that leverage resources and expertise, particularly in addressing the unique challenges faced by Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

This conference is not only a celebration of academic excellence but also a vital opportunity to build stronger partnerships with stakeholders. By showcasing the impactful research ongoing at UWI, we aim to inspire collaboration, fuel innovation, and address regional and global challenges through research-driven solutions.

Join us at the Principal’s Research Award Conference 2024, where research meets impact, and partnerships thrive for a better future.
