A little discovery went a long way: In 2012 a new species of millipede was found near Charlotteville, Tobago. Specimens were sent to an expert in the USA who consulted with an expert in Russia and finally, just last month, the species description was published, naming it Pandirodesmus rutherfordi after the discoverer Mike G. Rutherford, curator of the UWI Zoology Museum. Rutherford tells the story here.
