About UWI
UWI Life is an essential part of the orientation programme that The University of the West Indies calls: “First Year Experience”. It targets all incoming undergraduate and postgraduate students. It was conceptualised in 1999 as an innovative way to introduce our new students to the ins and outs of campus life. At that time, it was a stand-alone orientation exercise but it has evolved into much more over the past few years.
To date, orientation is a holistic experience and encompasses faculty, halls, the library and the guild. UWI Life is part of the “First Year Experience” that welcomes our first year students to the campus and to university life (fondly called UWI Life).
UWI LIFE 2016 consists of three main events:
UWI Life Support September 1, 2016 at SPEC
UWI Life Student September 2, 2016 5 at SPEC
