Archived Issue December 2013

Public Orator of The UWI St Augustine, Professor Surujpal Teelucksingh is invited by Chancellor Sir George Alleyne to embrace his son, Sharavan Scott Teelucksingh, who received his Bachelor of Medicine at the Faculty of Medical Sciences Graduation ceremony on October 26.

It would have been a particularly memorable ceremony for Professor Teelucksingh—this was his final official appearance as Public Orator—as he witnessed his son’s graduation as well as the conferral of an honorary doctorate (DSc) on Dr Theodisius Poon-King, one of his mentors. All part of The UWI Family. This special issue focuses on graduation ceremonies at the St Augustine campus from October 24-26.
