of Trinidad and Tobago, the Scarlet Ibis, painted in the traditional Chinese
impressionistic style on display at The UWI, St. Augustine. The work was painted by
Zhao Yanbin
, a well-known
Chinese artist who, along with equally renowned calligrapher,
Yang Chongguang
, was in Trinidad from September
23 for a two-week exhibition and workshop hosted by the
Confucius Institute
.
