Presenter Bios

 

Donnalyn Harry is an MPhil student in the Department of Behavioural Sciences at The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine. She holds an Upper Second Class Honours undergraduate degree in Social Work Special with a Minor in Social Policy from the University of the West Indies St. Augustine. Donnalyn tutored several courses in Social Work and Social Psychology at the School of Continuing Studies St. Augustine, which is now referred to as The University of the West Indies Open Campus. Her research interest is youth crime specifically adolescent males.

Neil Prout Jr. is a Masters student of Sport Management at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. Since childhood, he was an avid sport fan and casual athlete, and dreamed of being a professional football player as an adult. Unfortunately, he lacked the natural ability to make his dream a reality.Being a passionate lover of sport and anything sport related, the academic pursuit of Sport Management was his only option. 

 

Matthew Batson a final year student of the university of the west indies - currently completing his Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Growing up in a strict religious household he takes pleasure in overcoming the challenges this has presented him, while using its benefits to greatly aid his volunteer work.

                 
Letroy Orwin Cummings, Ph.D. is a Sociologist and an Associate Professor at the University of the Southern Caribbean. He was educated at Wayne State University, University of Guyana and Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra. Academia experience includes researching and lecturing at the University of Guyana, Wayne State University, University of the Southern Caribbean and University of the West Indies. Family issues, crime, leadership and social unrest are focus areas of his research. He has authored and presented papers at international conferences and published in peer reviewed journals.
