PAHO/WHO Collaborating Centre

 

The UWI School of Nursing, St. Augustine has been a designated PAHO/WHO Collaborating Centre (WHOCC) for the Development of Nursing and Midwifery in the Caribbean. The current four-year renewable designation spans January 2024 - January 2028.

The Terms of Reference are as follows:

  • "At PAHO/WHO's request, the proposed institution will provide technical input that may support PAHO/WHO's activities to promote and facilitate interprofessional research and policy with emphasis on capacity building of nursing and midwifery."
  • At PAHO/WHO's request, the proposed institution will provide technical input that may support PAHO/WHO's work on the development of nursing and midwifery leadership programmes."
