DEAR NEW STUDENT, Congratulations on starting your academic journey at The University of the West Indies!

You have made an excellent choice in selecting The University of the West Indies (UWI), particularly our St. Augustine Campus, to pursue your academic career!

We are delighted to welcome you as a new member of the St. Augustine Campus community and pledge to help provide a stimulating academic and social environment for you to grow and achieve your full potential.

The St. Augustine Campus will be hosting its Matriculation and Welcome Ceremony on Thursday 19 September, 2024 at 5pm at the Sport and Physical Education Centre (SPEC), The UWI, St. Augustine Campus.

The Matriculation Ceremony is the occasion where new students are formally recognised as members of the University. Your acceptance into the academic community is marked by the signing of the Matriculation Register.

All new students are required to attend. We also invite you to bring a guest to witness you matriculate into The UWI academic community.

Members of our campus leadership will be at the ceremony to meet and welcome you, including the Vice-Chancellor, the Campus Principal, the Deputy Principal, your Faculty Dean, the Director of Student Services and Development (DSSD) and your Student Guild President.

We look forward to meeting you and your invited guest at the Matriculation and Welcome Ceremony.
