BACKGROUND

Since the inception of Health System Global (HSG), Global Symposium on Health Systems Research, it was observed that there is need for greater production and use HPSR to inform Caribbean health decision-making. The University of the West Indies, Caribbean Centre for Health Systems Research and Development (CCHSRD) was established in 2018 to pursue a program of work in HPSR to address pressing policy and system issues. The CCHSRD has four core functions: i) execution of HPSR; ii) knowledge translation activities; iii) citizen engagement; and iv) health human resource training and development. COP4HPSR is a vehicle to support CCHSRD’S work program, especially related to HPSR production and use.
