Dr Noveck J. Gowandan has over 20 years of ICT experience in both public and private-sector domains. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a consistent ability to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions to complex business challenges. Notably, he has fostered global collaborations, including an ICANN Fellowship, an alumnus of two EDUCAUSE Institutes, pioneering work with the Certiverse examination platform, and a longstanding strategic partnership with the Linux Foundation, resulting in the creation of several industry-relevant accredited certifications.

His academic background includes a PhD in Governance, focusing on the intricate relationships between IT governance, organizational politics, organizational culture, and their broader implications for corporate governance. Additionally, he holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Leadership and Management, complemented by a Bachelor’s in Information Systems. Beyond academia, he possesses a diverse training portfolio spanning Change Management, Cybersecurity, Leadership, Management, Business Continuity, Business Analysis, Project Management, Artificial Intelligence, Open Source and more.

Dr Gowandan has been a member of the University since 2009. He currently serves primarily as the eLearning Team Lead at the St. Augustine Campus, but also has a diverse portfolio of supplemental roles, including Project Manager for the Cross-Campus eLearning Committee, Consultant for various revenue generating projects (EDULINK, UN-FAO, WTO) and prospects (TTMoE, TTDF, Petrotrin and ALJGSB), as well as serving as a Technical Advisor to various campus committees.
