About Us

The University of the West Indies Department of Economics’ Annual Conference on the Economy (COTE 2017) is scheduled for October 11^th - 12^th 2017, Learning Resource Centre (LRC), UWI St. Augustine.

COTE is a landmark event of the Department at which findings from quality research and other studies are presented to inform economic and social policy. The conference highlights what we in the Department see as the key economic issues facing Trinidad & Tobago in particular and the wider Caribbean region by extension, in light of the present global environment.

This year’s conference honours Sir Alister McIntyre, and will explore the theme “Trade and Caribbean Development Nexus” consistent with research output of our honouree.
