This course focuses on the history, international, regional context of children’s rights. It examines the complex relationships among the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, other relevant human rights instruments and national legislative frameworks. Generally, the course seeks to accentuate awareness on rights-based approaches in advocating for children and young people’s well-being, rights and interests within their families and communities
