Dr. Nick Marsh
Nick Marsh is a Director of NEXT Corporation which specializes in consulting and teaching of Strategic Foresight and Innovation.. He began his career in England and Africa and has since consulted widely in NZ and Australia over the past 25 years. Nick holds degrees from Nottingham, and Leeds Universities in the UK and received his PhD in cross cultural industrial psychology from Bath University. He was a member of the founding team of the Business School School at Auckland University in New Zealand and was the Director of the Auckland MBA which focused on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and which has created a number of successful entrepreneurs.
He has published many academic articles and three books on Strategic Foresight and Innovation – “Theory K- Excellence in Management”, “The All Star Company”, and “Strategic Foresight”.
His speciality is to research and advice on the key drivers of change in different sectors and assist companies to identify their strategic options. His company utilises a wide variety of key associates who are specialist experts in their fields, both in Australasia and around the world.
He is best known for his work with the NZ Foresight Project 1997-2000 which spawned 150 foresight projects across all business sectors and influenced the innovation paradigm in NZ. In Australia he has worked in Pharmaceuticals, New Media, Local Government, Health, Energy, Sport, and Advertising, and Retail. He has worked extensively in the Caribbean over the past four years in small Country Growth and Innovation Projects with his colleague Ian Ivey.
