Dr. Marcus George has served as academic staff at DECE, UWI St. Augustine for 20 years and is currently Lecturer in Electronic Systems. In addition to holding Bsc, MPhil and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the UWI, he also possesses several qualifications and certifications in Agricultural Science along with over 21 years of actual field experience in the area of Agricultural Technology.

Dr. George is building the future of food, hence his research focuses are Smart Agricultural Technology, and Global Food Security. To add context, his research focuses branch into sub-categories such as Sustainable Agricultural Tech for Farmers, AgriFood Electronics, Precision Agriculture, Agricultural IoT and Sensory Systems, Smart Irrigation, Food Quality Sensing and Post-Harvest Tech.
