The Caribbean Interpreting and Translation Bureau (CITB) can provide professional interpreting and translation services for any situation you require.

Translation Services 

We can translate your documents to or from:

Our team of qualified and experienced freelance professionals will ensure that your documents are accurately translated. We handle documents of all types, including birth and marriage certificates, medical and legal documents, reports, articles, product information, etc. 

To request a translation, follow these simple steps: 

1. You send your documents to citb@sta.uwi.edu, stating clearly what you need. 

2. We will send you a quote and our banking information, as well as the estimated delivery time. 

3. You send us a copy of the payment receipt. 

4. We give you an appointment for the collection of your stamped original  

The average delivery time is 2-3 days for short documents but will vary depending on workload. A rush fee is charged for same-day or overnight jobs.  

Our translations are accepted and recognized by government ministries and other authorities in Trinidad & Tobago 

Interpreting Services

We provide a team of professionally-trained and experienced interpreters, together with ISO-rated, state-of-the-art conference interpreting equipment.

We can adapt our services to suit your needs, using one of the following modalities: 

  • Consecutive interpreting: the format of the meeting does not require specialized equipment; 

  • Simultaneous interpreting: large and/or formal meetings that require interpreters’ booth(s) and professional equipment; 

  • Whispering interpreting: very small group(s) of foreign language speakers within a meeting (no more than two persons ideally).
