Dr. Pargass is an ACVP board-certified Veterinary Clinical Pathologist teaching undergraduate veterinary students in the area of Veterinary Clinical Pathology and Pathology and Diagnostic Laboratory Medicine. She is also the lab manager/supervisor and Clinical Pathologist for the Veterinary Clinical Pathology Laboratory at the SVM, UWI. Her duties include supervision of the two technicians, one teaching assistant, and overseeing the overall management of the lab, quality control procedures and instrumentation and inventory management. Dr. Pargass also provide daily diagnostic pathology services and consultation in the areas of haematology, clinical chemistry, cytology and urinalysis.

- Neoplasia in animals, cancer markers, and the associated clinical signs and pathological changes.
- Infectious diseases
- The influence of factors/substances on clinical pathology parameters in animals.
