Dr. Shayne Ramsubeik is a poultry health expert and diplomat of the American College of Poultry Veterinarians, with over 12 years of practical experience. He has a deep understanding of poultry production practices and disease epidemiology in the Caribbean, having worked extensively with major broiler producers in Trinidad and Tobago. Dr. Ramsubeik holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from UWI, a Master of Preventive Veterinary Medicine from the University of California, Davis, and an MBA with a specialization in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business, UWI. He completed his residency in poultry medicine and diagnostics at the California Animal Health and Food Safety Laboratory, UCD. As a lecturer in Avian and Poultry Medicine at the School of Veterinary Medicine, UWI, Dr. Ramsubeik focuses on poultry production, poultry medicine, and exotic avian medicine. He is dedicated to fostering a collaborative learning environment and encouraging student research that supports sustainable and safe poultry production in the Caribbean. His career goal is to leverage his expertise to advance the poultry industry for future generations.
