Students on Dean’s Hold

RULE:

A Dean’s hold is placed on a student’s record when his/her GPA is below 2.0 in a semester. At this stage the student is placed on Warning for the next semester.

The student must meet with an advisor to have a Dean’s Hold Form completed. It is normally recommended that these students do no more than 3 courses until their GPA increases to 2.0 or above.

Once completed, the Dean’s Hold Form should be forwarded to your respective department with the required signatures by the advisor. This form will be forwarded to the Dean’s Office where the hold will then be removed within 24 hours. The student will receive an alert by email to proceed to register.
