- Ph.D. from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur (India) in Fluid Dynamics. Degree awarded in January, 1976
- M.Sc. (Mathematics) from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur (India) in I Division with 70.8% marks in the year 1971, the Special papers being Hydromechanics and Topology
- B.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur (India) in II Division in 1969
- Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (FIMA), U.K.
