Guadeloupe is a French overseas region in the Caribbean, made up of several islands, which together resemble the wings of a butterfly. It’s known for its mix of French and Creole culture.
Fun fact: Guadeloupe’s La Soufrière volcano, nicknamed “La Vieille Dame” (The Old Lady), is the highest peak in the Lesser Antilles and is still active!
