The Faculty of Law and the China Law Society Seminar

On March 7th 2016 the Faculty of Law welcomed a visiting delegation from the China Law Society and hosted a Legal Seminar on “Comparative Analysis of the Legal Systems in China and Trinidad and Tobago. The event was held at the Noor Hassanali Auditorium and was organized by the Law Faculty along with the Office of the Campus Principal, the Office of Institutional Advancement andInternationalisation and the Confucius Institute at UWI. The UWI and China Law Society intends to develop academic and pragmatic legal exchange between the two institutions in the future.

The visiting delegation will included the Head: Gu Zhaomin, Director-General of International Liaison Department of China Law Society; Secretary-General: Pan Xinyan(F), Director of International Liaison Department of China Law Society; and delegates: Lin Guoping, Executive Vice-President of Shanghai Law Society, Zhou Zhanhua, President of Democracy and Legal Systems, Li Siming, Executive Vice-President of Yunnan Law Society, Zhou Jiepu(F), Associate Professor of Law School of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
