Oil and Gas Law

Description:

The PG in Oil and Gas Law is to continue the Faculty of Law’s work to pioneer relevant, cutting-edge law courses that would meet the needs of forward-looking nations pursuing dynamic development.  Oil & Gas Law is considered as one of the areas of importance to Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana. The wider Caribbean region is increasingly receptive to energy issues and thus it is envisaged that this initiative would form part of a broader effort for the UWI Faculty of Law to provide continuing legal education at the postgraduate level and to ensure that the faculty maximises its positive impact on the regional constituents that it serves. The PG in Oil and Gas Law is currently not offered by any other country in the Caribbean region. Hence these courses will attract not only students in Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana but also in the wider region and Latin America as well.
